Aftercare Instructions

Always care for your new tattoo with CLEAN hands!

Traditional
(Plastic Wrap)

  • Leave the wrap on for at least 2 hours

  • When you remove the wrap, wash the tattoo immediately

  • Clean the tattoo using unscented antibacterial liquid soap (for example, Dial Gold or Dr. Bronner’s) avoid bar soap or anything with fragrance

  • Air dry or gently pat dry with a paper towel

  • Apply a thin amount ointment (for example, Tattoo Lover’s Care Salve, Aquaphor, or A+D) a couple times a day, if the tattoo appears shiny it is TOO much ointment. Dab with a paper towel to remove excess. Avoid using Neosporin or other antibiotic ointments.

  • After 3 days switch from ointment to unscented white lotion (for example, Lubriderm, Aveeno Daily Moisture, or Cetaphil)

  • DO NOT go swimming or soak the tattoo in water for 2 weeks – or longer if there is scabbing still present

  • DO NOT scratch or pick at your tattoo, you will remove the pigment by doing this

  • DO NOT re-wrap the tattoo, it needs to breathe in order to heal properly

Derm Shield

  • It is normal for blood and fluids to collect under the bandage, continue to leave it on

Touch Up Policy

Our Touch-Up Policy is designed to provide you with a tattoo that will last a lifetime. We include one complimentary touch-up, if needed, from the artist who crafted the tattoo within one year of its completion. Please be aware that certain exclusions may apply based on specific placement choices, and your artist will discuss these with you prior to starting. We take pride in our work and are dedicated to ensuring you have a tattoo that you will cherish for years ahead. If you feel there is a touch up needed, please reach out after your tattoo is fully healed (but before the one-year mark) to schedule an appointment.
